What is a label-unique router password?

A label-unique password is a default router credential that's unique to that specific physical unit — not shared across the whole model — and printed on a label or sticker directly on the device.

This is a meaningfully safer pattern than a universal default password: even if the router model's documentation (or a leaked list) is public, it doesn't help an attacker log into any particular unit, because every unit has its own distinct password. Knowing the pattern doesn't give you the password — you'd need physical access to read the label.
