Terms of service
Effective 13 July 2026
ssid.ai is operated by Drumworks Ventures FZ LLC, a free-zone limited liability company registered in the United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). By using ssid.ai — the website, the free tools, the device directory or the API — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What the service is
ssid.ai publishes reference information about network hardware: MAC/OUI vendor records from the IEEE registry, router model pages with default gateway addresses, default logins and factory-reset steps taken from the manufacturer's own documentation, and free browser-based tools. Some of this data is also available through a metered API.
Acceptable use
The directory exists so that people can identify devices and regain access to equipment they own or administer. Using it for anything else is on you, not us. You agree that you will not:
- use any information on ssid.ai to access, probe or interfere with a network, router or device that you do not own and are not authorised to administer;
- use the service in violation of any applicable law, including the computer-misuse and cybercrime laws of the UAE and of your own jurisdiction;
- scrape or bulk-download the site in a way that degrades it for others — the API exists for programmatic access, use that instead;
- circumvent rate limits, share or resell API keys, or automate creation of API keys;
- republish our data while stripping or misrepresenting its sourcing — every credential field on ssid.ai cites the manufacturer document it came from, and copies that drop the citation misrepresent the data.
We may throttle, suspend or block access (including revoking API keys) for violations of this section, without notice.
Data accuracy — read this part
Everything on ssid.ai is provided as-is. Default logins, gateway addresses and reset procedures are transcribed from official manufacturer documentation, and each router page links to its source — but manufacturers change firmware, revise hardware and rewrite manuals, so any value can be outdated for your specific unit, hardware revision or region. The label on your device and the manual in its box outrank anything on this site.
Where a model has no shared default password, we say so rather than print a generic “admin / admin” that was never true. Even so: nothing here is advice, a guarantee, or an invitation to act on someone else's equipment. You are solely responsible for verifying any value before relying on it and for using it lawfully, on networks you own or administer. If you find an error, report it via the corrections page and we'll check it against the manufacturer source.
Free tools
The WiFi QR, password and MAC tools run in your browser; secrets you type into them are not sent to us. They are offered as-is, without warranty — check the output before you depend on it.
API keys and paid tiers
Free API keys are self-serve, rate-limited, shown once at creation and revocable by us at any time for abuse. Machine-payable requests (x402) are billed per call at the price quoted in the 402 response; a completed call is a delivered service. Paid subscription tiers, when they launch, will be metered and billed as described on the API page at the time of purchase.
Refunds
On self-serve paid tiers (once they launch): if we billed you incorrectly, or a sustained outage on our side made the tier unusable, email support@ssid.ai within 30 days of the charge and we'll make it right. Refunds on self-serve tiers are capped at USD 25 per case. Per-call x402 payments and usage you actually consumed are not refundable. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Intellectual property
The underlying facts (a router's default IP, a vendor's OUI assignment) are public information and belong to no one. The selection, structure, verification and presentation of the dataset, and the site itself, are ours. Manufacturer and product names appear for identification only; their trademarks belong to their owners, and no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drumworks Ventures FZ LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits, lost data, locked-out devices, network downtime, or any consequence of acting on information from this site — whether on your own equipment or anyone else's. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the greater of USD 25 and the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions; where that applies, our liability is limited to the minimum the law allows.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful or unauthorised use of the service, including any use of directory data against networks or devices you were not authorised to access.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the UAE.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves — for example when paid tiers launch. The effective date at the top changes when we do. Material changes will be visible on this page before they take effect; continued use after that date is acceptance of the updated terms.
