Privacy policy
Effective 13 July 2026
ssid.ai is operated by Drumworks Ventures FZ LLC, registered in the United Arab Emirates. The short version: this is a server-rendered reference site with no user accounts, no sign-up, and a deliberate minimal-data posture. We collect as little as the service needs to run, and we do not sell personal data. Ever.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, so no names, emails, passwords or profiles.
- The WiFi QR, password and MAC tools run entirely in your browser — the network names and passwords you type into them are never transmitted to us, and those pages carry no analytics or ad scripts at all.
- No advertising profiles, no cross-site tracking, no data brokers.
What we do collect
- Server and abuse logs. Like almost every website, our servers see your IP address. We record it for rate-limiting and to log blocked or abusive requests (spam, key-creation abuse). These logs exist to keep the service up and are not used for profiling.
- Correction and takedown reports. If you submit the form on the corrections page, we store what you wrote plus the submitting IP address (anti-spam), for as long as needed to process the report and maintain an audit trail of changes to the dataset. The form asks for no name or email.
- API keys. Free API keys are created without an account — an optional label you choose, the key itself (stored hashed) and per-key usage counters for metering. Key creation is IP-rate-limited, which uses the same abuse logs above.
Analytics
Directory and content pages may load analytics scripts: a self-hosted, cookieless tool that records aggregate page counts only, and a third-party analytics service that receives standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location from IP, browser type) and processes it under its own privacy terms. No analytics script is ever loaded on the /tools/ pages, because those pages handle secrets.
Cookies
ssid.ai sets no cookies of its own — no session cookie, no preference cookie, nothing required to browse. Our self-hosted analytics sets none; when the third-party analytics service is active it sets its standard measurement cookies. That is the complete list. If we ever enable an advertising network on directory pages, its cookies will be disclosed on this page before it goes live.
If you email support@ssid.ai or abuse@ssid.ai, your message and address are handled by our third-party email provider and kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter. We use your address only to reply — no newsletters, no marketing lists.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Data leaves our systems only to the service providers named above (analytics, email), if a law we are subject to compels disclosure, or as strictly necessary to investigate abuse of the service.
The directory itself
The device directory contains facts about hardware models and manufacturer OUI registrations — not data about individuals or their networks. If you believe a page nonetheless exposes personal information, report it via the corrections & takedown page and we'll review it promptly.
Your rights and changes
Since we hold almost nothing about you, there is rarely anything to access or delete — but if you want the IP-linked records from a report you submitted or an email thread removed, write to support@ssid.ai and we'll action it unless we must keep it for abuse prevention or legal reasons. When this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
