What actually differs
Both are tri-band, high-end routers with no default password to look up — but the login structure differs. ASUS's RT-AX88U keeps an account name (admin, historically) that you set a password for during QIS setup, at router.asus.com (192.168.50.1).
TP-Link's Archer AX90 drops the username concept entirely: the first-run page at tplinkwifi.net (192.168.0.1) only asks for a new password, per TP-Link's official support FAQ. If you're used to typing a username on one brand's router, don't expect the field to exist on the other.
