Spectrum (Charter) Sagemcom RAC2V1K / Askey Router

Default access and factory-reset steps, cited to the manufacturer.

For regaining access to a router you own or administer. If you didn't set it up, ask whoever did.

The password is unique to your unit and printed on a sticker on the router (often labelled Password or Access Key).

Spectrum's own Sagemcom/Askey units print the default sign-in on the rear label; older models used admin/admin but current RAC2V1K/RAC2V1S routers are largely locked to the My Spectrum app, so the web tool is view-only for many settings.

Factory reset

Connect to the router and browse to http://192.168.1.1. Sign in with username 'admin'; the password is printed on the label on the back of the router. Newer Spectrum routers restrict most settings — use the My Spectrum app or spectrum.net to change the WiFi name/password. To factory reset, press and hold the recessed Reset button on the back ~10 seconds until the lights cycle, then sign in with the label credentials.
