Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine (UDM)

Default access and factory-reset steps, cited to the manufacturer.

For regaining access to a router you own or administer. If you didn't set it up, ask whoever did.

You create this password the first time you set up the router. If you never changed it, factory-reset and set a new one.

Set-on-setup — the UDM has no admin/admin default. You create the administrator credentials (UI Account or local admin) in the setup wizard on first use. After adoption, device-level passwords are randomized by the controller.

Factory reset

There is no universal default password. To set up or recover: reset the UDM by holding the reset button on the bottom for about 10 seconds until the LED changes, releasing when it restarts. Then run the wizard — connect a computer or the UniFi Network mobile app to the same network and go to https://setup.ui.com (Chrome), or browse to the console at https://192.168.1.1, and create your admin login (a UI Account or a local admin) during setup.
