The password is unique to your unit and printed on a sticker on the router (often labelled Password or Access Key).
Unlike other NETGEAR CM-series modems, the CM2000 has NO shared default password — each unit ships with a unique password printed on its label. NETGEAR calls this out explicitly.
Factory reset
The CM2000 is a cable modem only. Open a browser to http://192.168.100.1 and log in with username 'admin' and the unique password printed on the product label. To factory reset, press and hold the Restore Factory Settings button with a paperclip for about 7 seconds until the power LED blinks; the login reverts to admin + the label's unique password.
