You create this password the first time you set up the router. If you never changed it, factory-reset and set a new one.
Newer Nighthawk firmware makes you set the admin password at first setup, so admin/password is not a valid default. Reset to factory only if you've lost the password you created.
Factory reset
Setup on this tri-band Nighthawk forces you to pick an admin password, so there is no factory login to fall back on. To reset, power it on, press and hold the Reset button on the back for roughly 7 seconds until the Power LED flashes, wait for reboot, then open http://routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 and create a new admin password in the wizard.
