For regaining access to a router you own or administer. If you didn't set it up, ask whoever did.

You create this password the first time you set up the router. If you never changed it, factory-reset and set a new one.
Username is admin. Newer NETGEAR products require setting the admin password on first setup, so there is no usable factory-default password.
Factory reset
Go to http://www.routerlogin.net (192.168.1.1); newer NETGEAR products require you to set the admin password during first-time setup. To reset, hold the Reset button ~10 seconds until the Power LED blinks.
